I regret a couple of things about this series:

1.- It's do darn short.
2.- Why they couldn't put it all in one fantastic volume?.

Well, now that I got that out of my chest, I can begin this review for The Sinestro Corps War, Vol. 1 by saying it was freaking awesome. I'm just getting in Green Lantern territory, and it all begun with Rebirth.

Action, answers, questions, action and more action is what this book contains, and I'm not there yet regarding the list of villains... what a Corps!!!!!!.

Geoff Jones has become one of my favorites ever. He did gave GL life and made sure he take his place on the DC Universe. I feel that since 52 DC Comics is saying "Our universe is not only the Trinity. Here, meet the family".

Besides the story line of the current war, this also works beautifully for a build up for the so named THE BLACKEST NIGHT (that I'll get as soon as come out on trade). Green Lanterns universe has changed and expanded forever, and you'll enjoy it just like I did.

Worth every penny.
Best GL Story

Reviewer: Steve,
I am a fan of Green Lantern (especially Hal Jordan). Unfortunately, you have to find the right story. There have been as many misses as hits. This is most definitely a hit. Geoff Johns writes a great GL story.

I'm not going to give a detailed review (there are enough of those). Just stating, if you read only one GL story, get this one (along with part 2).
Large Scale Carnage

All I can say is "wow".
You don't usually see this much large scale destruction & huge battles in comics.
Very entertaining read.
Johns is fast becoming one of my favorite authors.
If you love huge, action-packed mosaics with tons of characters that definitely convey epic-scaled battles, then this is a must have.
First in line for the DC Animated movie

From the moment we met "Sinestro" in Green Lantern # 7 many many years ago, to all those times he was thwarted on the superfriends to multiple executions and escapes over the years, - this is what it all boiled down to. And it was absolutely worth it.

The Sinestro Corps war was a year (plus) event that encompassed the Green Lantern/Green Lantern Corps books. It told the story of Sinestro, once the greatest of the Green Lanterns, forming his own Corps of those able to inspire great fear. It served as a direct sequel to Green Lantern: Rebirth and continued a feud that has been raging for 40 years.

Sinestro Corps War involved pretty much every major face in the DCU with lasting consequences for all.

My only regret with this book is that (thus far) is that it hasn't been collected into one giant omnibus featuring all three volumes.

Volume 1 sets the stage for all out war, and begs the question of "How far are the Green Lantern Corps willing to go, to preserve order in the universe?"
AWESOME!!!!
