| After months of sublte hints and slight manipulations, the war has finally begun! read the story that truly putt Geoff Johns and Ethan Van Schiver on the map! (Not that they weren't awesome before this storyline). It's the true test of Willpower over Fear! Both sides suffer loses and everything in the GL world is shaken up! Gotta Love epic Space Battles! |

Great read. Kept me interested. Just one of the many Green Latern comics I recently purchased that helped me get back into reading comics.

I regret a couple of things about this series:
1.- It's do darn short.
2.- Why they couldn't put it all in one fantastic volume?.
Well, now that I got that out of my chest, I can begin this review for The Sinestro Corps War, Vol. 1 by saying it was freaking awesome. I'm just getting in Green Lantern territory, and it all begun with Rebirth.
Action, answers, questions, action and more action is what this book contains, and I'm not there yet regarding the list of villains... what a Corps!!!!!!.
Geoff Jones has become one of my favorites ever. He did gave GL life and made sure he take his place on the DC Universe. I feel that since 52 DC Comics is saying "Our universe is not only the Trinity. Here, meet the family".
Besides the story line of the current war, this also works beautifully for a build up for the so named THE BLACKEST NIGHT (that I'll get as soon as come out on trade). Green Lanterns universe has changed and expanded forever, and you'll enjoy it just like I did.
Worth every penny. |

I am a fan of Green Lantern (especially Hal Jordan). Unfortunately, you have to find the right story. There have been as many misses as hits. This is most definitely a hit. Geoff Johns writes a great GL story.
I'm not going to give a detailed review (there are enough of those). Just stating, if you read only one GL story, get this one (along with part 2). |

All I can say is "wow".
You don't usually see this much large scale destruction & huge battles in comics.
Very entertaining read.
Johns is fast becoming one of my favorite authors.
If you love huge, action-packed mosaics with tons of characters that definitely convey epic-scaled battles, then this is a must have. |
