Reviewer: T.C. Owens,
As an aspiring serialist, I've learned a lot about blocking, pacing, etc. from Mr. Hart's books. This book is no exception and I highly recommend it to anyone who loves to draw, doodle, or just read about cartoons.

HOW TO DRAW CARTOONS FOR COMIC-STRIPS

Review Date: January 10, 2009
Reviewer: Luisa Felix, Hoboken, New Jersey
This book is mostly about HOW to design cartoon characters,
and some panels and Talk-Balloons. The "basics".---- But the
book that gets into actually drawing comic-strips is "DRAWING
ON THE FUNNY SIDE OF THE BRAIN". And also "EVERYTHING YOU EVER
WANTED TO KNOW ABOUT CARTOONING BUT WERE AFRAID TO DRAW" all
of these by Christopher Hart. But above all, the "MAKING COMICS
Storytelling Secrets of Comics, Manga and Graphic Novels" by
Scott Mc Cloud. These books which I bought at Amazon.com helped
me tremendously on improving my own comic-strip "CANDY BLONDELL".
It gave me details on HOW to improve the drawing and my way of
thinking. It made the comic-strip come "alive" and be more
"precise". I strongly recommend that you buy these books to improve
your own comic-strips as it did for mine. These books are worth having.
