Halo graphic novel review

Review Date: April 21, 2010

I am a fan of graphic novels like the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, Watchmen, Batman, and the Dark Tower series. I am not so acquainted with the Halo game (as I am not a gamer), but do love the graphic novels. Their stories bring a human touch and feel to an intergalactic story These graphic novels stand up to any of the comic book and graphic novel greats in all aspects - colors, graphics, storytelling, and their ability to reach people on a realistic, real world level of thought and feeling. I suggest these graphic novels to anyone interested in the art of graphic novels whether or not you're a gamer.

I like good comics. Regardless of genre, well scripted and drawn comics will always stand out. There is no need for further qualification.

This looked like a good comic. A technically well drawn cover (it doesn't dazzle), and the drawings looked technically good. When you actually start to read this stuff, there seems to be two plot lines, one involving a Master Chief and the other some marine and his brother involved in some kind of space war with some aliens. There is reference to a master key which appears to be a made up story by the two brothers and which involves a final cataclysmic ending killing off all and sundry. In between there is some confused interaction between one of the brother and a tattooed grunge girl singer (what is her role in this comic?).
Surprisingly scripted and drawn by the same team Bendis/Maleev that gave us the incredible Daredevil series, this is not the same product. Avoid this mess!

This is a great comic. You follow Master Chief, but even more interesting is the great Bendis story about what happens back on earth. Bendis is truly one of Marvels best writers, and this only confirms it. And when you`ve got Maleev and his fantastic drawings on your team, this can`t go wrong. I loved it, and so will you. You don`t even have to all that in to the Halo video game. Buy!

Reviewer: J. Cole,
Its a graphic novel, not near as good as the other halo books, but the illustrations were entertaining for a while.. Not what I was looking for.
it is halo, but not as good as anything else of halo you will find

i am glad i downloaded this for free, because this is not as good as you would expect, so you should find it at a library if possible. it is worth a read, but that read will require less than 30 minutes of your time i expect, so you should read it at the library itself.
